Are you ready to Hop? Let’s go!
Can I just tell you how much I LOVE these new Stencil Masks?!?! They are so AMAZING and easy to use!! My 14 year old daughter is redecorating her room in gray, yellow, and white. She was so excited for me to create canvas word art with the Stencil Masks! We chose this wonderful quote from Elaine Dalton’s talk: “She understood who she was and whose she was”.
I was so excited to purchase this 5 pack of 16x20 canvases from Michael’s for only $10!! They were originally $20, but they were on sale for $15 and I used an additional 25% off coupon. I LOVE scoring a deal!! First, I placed a few letter stencil masks on the canvas to plan out and space my quote. I used a clear quilting ruler to make sure the chevron stencil was level.
I used painter’s tape to mask above the letters. You can lightly mark measurements with a pencil, then paint over them. Tip: Use the tip of a pin to lift the corner of the stencil masks while the paint is still wet – the will prevent smearing with your fingertips. Then, place the stencil mask back on the clear plastic sheet and clean the wet paint off with baby wipes.
I find it easiest to squeeze the paint directly onto the canvas. It is faster and ensures that I get a thick coat of paint.
I used the 2 chevron masks on one half, then painted the other side after it dried.
If you don’t have enough letters to paint the entire canvas all at once – no worries!! Simply paint the first section, lift and wipe off the letters, then place them back on the canvas and finish painting. Note – I first painted the “WHO”, then used the “H” for “SHE” on top.
I am so excited to use the other four 16x20 canvases – my daughters and I have countless ideas swirling in our heads!!
Thanks for stopping by! Remember to leave a comment – so you are entered to win the $500 prize, then hop on over to Tammy Tutterow’s Blog: http://tammytutterow.com/blog/
