In August, I was called to be a counselor in our Stake Young Women’s Presidency. It has been a joy to work with such wonderful women and young women! My latest project has been our Stake Young Women Recognition Night, where we had a program recognizing all the Young Women and Leaders/Mothers who received their YW Medallion this year and completed their Personal Progress. This YW Medallion is a culmination of years of work and tens of hours of projects, spiritual study, and service. Can you believe we had over 40 receive it this year?!?! Incredibly wonderful!!
I got to put together a slideshow featuring those who received their award, and another one spotlighting all the YW in our stake – showing their activities, camps, sports, and just having fun together! (Special thanks to my brother, Chris, for helping me put it together with his cool software). We also had a dinner before the program for all the recipients and their parents (or husband) – it was such a special evening. It made all the hours of preparation worth it.
