Parmesan Breadsticks

Becca's Breadsticks

1 T. yeast
2 T. sugar
1 1/2 c. warm water

Let proof in mixing bowl for 5 minutes, then add:

1/2 t. salt
3 c. flour

Knead for 3 minutes. Let dough sit and rise for 10-15 minutes. Melt 1 cube of butter or margarine. Pour 1/2 onto the bottom of a cookie sheet and spread it evenly. Roll out the dough into the shape of the pan, using plenty of flour. Place the dough on the cookie sheet and spread on the rest of the melted butter. Cut into 4 rows of breadsticks with a pizza cutter, using a knife for the edges that the pizza cutter missed. Sprinkle with garlic salt (I found a yummy one with herbs) and fresh Parmesan Cheese. Let raise for another 15-20 minutes then bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes (until they are golden brown). You can make these ahead of time and refrigerate. Just take them out 1 hour before baking.
